Greg has directed and produced award-winning feature-length documentaries, Poles Apart and America Takes Flight, both appearing on PBS, and recently directed the new series Make Television for PBS.


He has directed the series Hometime for PBS, The Seasoned Gardner for Home and Garden Television, and has gained extensive location experience shooting Secrets of the Rainmaker for National Geographic in Africa. He has produced and directed a centennial video for the 3M Company and was director of photography for the Emmy Award-winning Grandfather’s Birthday, and camera operator for the Mighty Ducks and several music videos for Prince.


Stiever’s true passion is in telling stories that move and engage people.  He partnered with the thought leader Laura Goodrich seven years ago and founded On Impact Productions to create new processes to instruct organizations.  On Impact’s goal is to disseminate forward-thinking ideas to individuals and teams in new in innovative ways. Combined with Goodrich’s assistance as a Global Workforce Innovator, On Impact is positioned to tell powerful stories to change behavior in the people.


Honored with over sixty awards for his work, Greg Stiever is proud of receiving local, national, and international awards including Minnesota’s Oscar for Best Feature Film. The Short Film Showcase from National Endowment of the Arts, a Bronze Medal from the Cannes Film Festival, Best Cinematography at the Santa Clarita Film Festival, A Regional Emmy, Monitor Award for Best Achievement in Directing, and several CINE Gold Eagle Awards.


Stiever’s feature-length documentary film, Poles Apart aired on PBS and The National Geographic Channel in Europe, Asia, and Africa.  A few of the awards for Poles Apart include Best Documentary at the Lake Placid Film Forum, Best Documentary at the Breckenridge Festival of Film, a Silver at the Philadelphia Film Festival and the Best of Fest at the Minneapolis/St. Paul International film festival.
